First, please verify that your Wii LAN adapter is properly connected, and that all connections are secure. The LAN adapter should be connected to a free USB port on the back of the Wii, and the included ethernet cable should be attached to both the LAN adapter and a free ethernet port on your router or internet modem. If you still encounter this error message, please try the following steps:
If you are still unable to connect, then unfortunately it sounds like the adapter may be defective. In this case, there are two things that we can recommend. One, you can try exchanging the product at the store from which it was purchased; or two, you can send the product into us with a copy of the sales receipt verifying that it is still within the 90 day warranty and we can exchange it for a new one. Please be sure to include a short letter explaining the issue with your return address on it.
