NOTE 1: If you own the Silver Action Replay Max for Nintendo DS/Game Boy Advance, please see the “Action Replay Duo” section.
NOTE 2: This is a discontinued product. It is no longer sold in stores & updates may not be available.
A: Even though the Game Boy Advance will allow you to play Game Boy and Game Boy Color games, the Game Boy Advance Action Replay will only function with Game Boy Advance games.
A: Since the USB enabled ActionReplay has been discontinued for quite some time now, we no longer support the GBX PC software. This means that any new games that are released in the future will not be updated into the software, and if there are codes in the software that do not function they will not be removed. (The current GameBoy Advance Action Replay no longer comes with the USB cable and GBX software disc and therefore does not have the ability to download codes directly from your PC.)
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please remember that if there are codes posted on the website that are not available in the software for download you can manually enter them into your Action Replay by following the instructions in the manual.

- On the following screen, highlight “Add/Edit Code” and press A.
- From the list of games, highlight the game you are having trouble with and press A.
- From the list of codes, highlight the (m) code and press A.
- Using the on-screen keyboard; change the name of the code from (m) to simply m.
- Highlight “Done” and press A.
- Do not alter any information on the following screen, simply go to “Done” and press A.
- Press B until you return to the main menu screen.
A: The switch on your Action Replay is the on/off switch. When the Action Replay is inserted in your Game Boy Advance the switch should be over to the right, this is the “ON” position.
The button is called the AR Button and may be used to activate certain codes in a game. If the code had “Press AR Button to activate” written next to it, this is the button that you would press.
A: The Game Boy Advance Action Replay is 100% compatible with the Game Boy Player for the GameCube, however although the Game Boy Player will allow you to play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games, the Action Replay will only function with Game Boy Advance games.
A: Use the following steps to add codes to your GBA Action Replay:
- Turn on your Game Boy Advance with the Action Replay in it (your Action Replay must have a game in it) and go into “Management” on the Action Replay Main Menu Screen
- Go to “Add/Edit Game”
- Go to “Add New Game” at the top of the list
- Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the name of the game that you are adding
- Once the game name has been entered, go to “Done” and press “A”
- Now go to “Add/Edit Code” and select the new game that you have just added
- Name your (m) code. You can name it (M), (m) or m. Once the name is entered, choose “Done”
- Enter the value of the (m) code.
- Go to “Done” and press “A”
- Repeat the previous steps to add additional codes
Please Note: The (m) code must be entered in first for the rest of the codes to function. Also, when entering codes into your GameBoy Advance Action Replay you MUST enter in EVERY line of code. For example: If the (M) code has 20 lines of code you MUST enter in ALL 20 lines, you can NOT just choose one line to enter in.
If you are experiencing one of the following problems:
- When I turn on my Game Boy Advance Action Replay I am getting an error message that says “GNC, Index, etc.”
- All of the preloaded codes in my Game Boy Advance Action Replay have been erased.
- All of the game names in the Game Boy Advance Action Replay display in Japanese text.
- When I enter in a new code it will only save the first two lines of code, the rest of the lines are deleted.
