A: To function properly, some saves like Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, Excitebots: Trick Racing, etc. require specific files to be transferred from the SD card to the Wii Console.
Nintendo has released a firmware update (v4.0+) that has removed the ability to copy these necessary files from an SD card to the Wii Console. Power Saves such as the ones listed above, will only work when transferred to a Wii console with firmware LOWER than v4.0.
We have no control over Wii console updates, firmware revisions, or what data Nintendo will prevent from transferring to/from an SD card.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be sure to update your Wii Max Media Manager Pro software, and check for updates regularly. The latest version will now display powersaves that have been downloaded to your PC a bit differently. This change should properly display all game titles known to be incompatible with firmware update v4.0+. (some games may not be listed)
example:
Old title:
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
New Title:
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock [US] (firm 3.xU or lower)

A: In order to transfer a saved game to your Wii console, you must have first played that game on the console.
Please be sure you have attempted to play or save your game at least once, or have allowed the game to fully load into the "Game Channel", before transferring any saves to the console.
If you still receive an error message that you must first play the game in order to copy your save, you may have downloaded a save for the wrong region. Click on the options button in your Wii Powersaves software, and select the Gamesaves tab. Ensure only the box next to the region US is checked, and try to download and copy your saved game again.
Q: My SD card is not being recognized in the software; how do I fix this?
Q: After I transfer saves to the card, they do not appear to be there when I look for them using the Wii; what's wrong?
A: Please first ensure your SD card is inserted snugly into your card reader, and if using a USB reader, be sure the reader is properly connected to a USB port on the back of your PC.
If the card is recognized by your PC, it should be shown as a Removable Drive in My Computer. Please make a note of the letter assigned to this drive. Next, open your Max Media Manager Pro software, and click on the Options button in the upper-right corner. Check the box labeled "Do not search, SD memory is on the following drive:" and be sure to use the associated pulldown menu to choose the same letter that was assigned to your SD card in My Computer.
