A: The quality of audio played back through your Trash Talk will depend on the audio quality of your original file. Please test the source file on your PC to ensure it sounds normal.
Also, try copying the sound file to the Trash Talk again, ensuring that all connections to the PC are secure. If you still encounter the problem, copy the file to a different bank. If the distortion occurs on multiple banks, it may be a problem with the encoding of your original audio file.
A: Various "soundboards" containing hundreds, if not thousands, of free audio clips from various sources can be found online; simply by using your favorite search engine.
Popular ways to find these audio clips include searching for the title or genre of the sound clip you're looking for along with the term "soundboard".
A: Unfortunately the Trash Talk device drivers are designed for use with Windows XP Home (32-bit) and Windows XP Pro (32-bit).
Although not officially supported, Trash Talk may function for many Windows Vista (32-bit) users if the software is run in Windows XP [Service Pack 2] Compatibility mode.
The Trash Talk is NOT compatible with 64-bit operating systems.
Windows XP Compatibility Mode In Windows Vista:
- Right Click the Trash Talk .exe files.
- Choose Properties.
- Choose "Compatibility" tab.
- Check the box next to "Run this progra in compatability mode for:"
- Choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" from the drop-down menu.
- Check the box next to "Run this program as an Administrator"
- Click "Apply"
- Click "OK"

A: Here's a quick and easy way to see if your Trash Talk is working properly:
- Sign into your Xbox Live enabled profile.
- Press the Xbox 360 Guide Button on the controller.
- Choose “Messages”
- Choose “Create New”
- Choose “Message”
- Choose any gamer tag on your friends list or enter a fake one.
- Choose “Add Voice”
- Highlight the record button and press A to start recording.
- Press a button on the trash talk that has a sound clip stored to it.
- Speak into your headset.
- Press A to stop recording.
- Press A to playback the message.
- If you hear the sound clip during message playback, everything is working properly.
After listening to your recorded message, press B twice to cancel the message, then press A to discard the message.
To change the chat audio output settings on your Xbox 360:
- Sign into your Xbox Live enabled profile.
- Press the Xbox 360 Guide Button on the controller.
- Press Right on the D-Pad twice.
- Choose “Preferences”
- Choose “Voice”
(Voice chat volume and output can be changed from this menu.) - It’s suggested that “Play Through Headset” is selected for “Voice Output” when using the Trash Talk.
A: It's possible that your family settings are preventing you from hearing certain people over Xbox Live.
- Go to My Xbox and open System Settings.
- Select Family Settings, Xbox LIVE Controls.
- Enter the e-mail address and password that you used when you set up your child's Xbox LIVE account.
- Select Privacy and Friends, Voice and Text.
- Select Allowed.
(If set to Friends Only, or Blocked, you won't be able to hear certain people when chatting on Xbox Live.)
