Q: I am not able to download saves -or- I received the error message “The license key you have is invalid or already in use”.

First you must create a Codejunkies.com log-in account by registering at www.codejunkies.com.

When your Max Media Manager Pro software is first used, the license key you enter will become permanently attached to the first valid Codejunkies username and password used.

If your Codejunkies.com log-in information has changed, you may receive a message that your code key is already in use, since it is still assigned to your old username and password.

Click on the "options" button located at the top of the Max Media Manager Pro software. Now, click on the "GameSaves" tab and enter the username and password used when setting up the Max Media Manager Pro software.

NOTE: If you do not know the log-in details used in the past, please visit www.codejunkies.com, and click on “Sign In” at the top of the page. Next, locate the "Forgot your password?" link and click on it. Enter the user name used to register on the codejunkies website and a temporary password will be emailed to the addressed used duing the registration process. Repeat this process with any user names you may have used to register at Codejunkies, and emails will be sent to the appropriate addresses associated with those user names.

If you continue to receive an error, or are unable to access the saves database, please use the "still need help" option on this site to contact Technical Support.

Q: When I try to copy a save to the Wii, I receive the message “You must first play this game in order to copy a save”

In order to transfer a saved game to your Wii console, you must have first played that game on the console.

Please be sure you have attempted to play or save your game at least once, or have allowed the game to fully load into the "Game Channel", before transferring any saves to the console.

If you still receive an error message that you must first play the game in order to copy your save, you may have downloaded a save for the wrong region. Click on the options button in your Wii Powersaves software, and select the Gamesaves tab. Ensure only the box next to the region US is checked, and try to download and copy your saved game again.

Q: My SD card is not being recognized in the software; how do I fix this?
Q: After I transfer saves to the card, they do not appear to be there when I look for them using the Wii; what's wrong?

Please first ensure your SD card is inserted snugly into your card reader, and if using a USB reader, be sure the reader is properly connected to a USB port on the back of your PC.

If the card is recognized by your PC, it should be shown as a Removable Drive in My Computer. Please make a note of the letter assigned to this drive. Next, open your Max Media Manager Pro software, and click on the Options button in the upper-right corner. Check the box labeled “Do not search, SD memory is on the following drive:” and be sure to use the associated pulldown menu to choose the same letter that was assigned to your SD card in My Computer.

How to be sure you're copying saves to the correct device:
Method #1:

  1. Insert the Power Saves SD Card into your PC's media card slot.
  2. Copy a save to the SD Card.
  3. Click on the "Saves-Wii" button.
  4. Verify that the save that was just transferred appears in the software properly.
  5. Remove the SD Card from your PC's media card slot.

If the software displays the following message, the SD Card drive letter is configured properly:
SD Card not found, please connect your memory device.

NOTE: If the software continues to display the game saves while the SD card is removed, the wrong drive letter was assigned to the SD Card and must be changed.

Method #2:

  1. Insert the PowerSaves SD Card into into your Wii console.
  2. Verify that the SD Card contains game save data.
  3. Open the Wii Max Media Manager Pro Software.
  4. Click on the "Saves-Wii" button.

SD Card not found, please connect your memory device.
  6. Remove the SD Card from the Wii console.
  7. Insert the Power Saves SD Card into your PC's media card slot.
  8. Verify that the "SD Card not found.." message disappears and the save content of the SD Card is now displayed.

NOTE: If the software displays game save content while no SD card is inserted, or does not display game save content upon inserting the SD Card into the meida card slot, the wrong drive letter was assigned to the SD Card and must be changed.

Q: I keep receiving "Cannot Copy File" / "Card Full" errors when I try to copy a Power Save to the PowerSave memory card; what am I doing wrong?

There are very few reasons why this could be happening:

  1. The card is write protected
solution: slide the tiny gray switch toward the end of the card that has the "angled notch" & exposed contacts.

  2. The card is full.
solution: Delete some of the save data from the card and try copying the desired save again.

  3. The card could possibly be defective.
solution: Use the "Still Need Help?" option to contact our Technical Support staff.
