The latest version of the Gaming Headset looks a bit different than a standard USB connection and can easily be inserted into the PlayStation 3 incorrectly. The Communicator Headset dongle is connected properly for the product to function. The Gaming Headset Dongle must be inserted into a USB port on the PlayStation 3 console with its USB contacts facing Up. (Contacts towards the Blu-Ray drive on the PlayStation 3 console.)
